Worldwide School

Our IB Curriculum

At Sunshine Worldwide School, we offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) for learners aged 3 to 12. The PYP nurtures curiosity, creativity, and compassion, helping children become confident, responsible, and independent thinkers.

The IB philosophy

The IB curriculum focuses on the whole child, developing students who are inquirers, communicators, thinkers, and caring individuals. As a top international school in Goa, our learning goes beyond subjects, encouraging students to connect ideas, cultures, and experiences in meaningful ways.

How learning happens

Through an inquiry-based approach, students explore, question, and reflect to build deep understanding. Our educators guide each learner to think critically, take initiative, and relate learning to real-life situations.

The core of the PYP

The programme is built around three pillars:

The Learner – taking ownership of learning.

Learning & Teaching – rooted in inquiry and reflection.

The Learning Community – collaboration among students, teachers, and families.

The six transdisciplinary themes

Being one of the best IB schools in Goa, we ensure that each year, students explore globally significant ideas through six interconnected themes:

• Who We Are – Understanding identity, values, relationships, and well-being.

• Where We Are in Place and Time– Exploring history, journeys, and human connections.

• How We Express Ourselves – Discovering creativity, beliefs, and culture.

• How the World Works – Investigating science, technology, and nature.

• How We Organise Ourselves – Understanding communities, systems, and decision-making.

• Sharing the Planet – Exploring peace, equality, and sustainability.
